Hokkaido University Preprint Series in Mathematics is published by the Department of Mathematics. In general, mathematical findings have to be published in academic journals before they reach the majority of mathematicians. However, this involves rigorous screening and usually turns out to be a very long process.
Therefore, preprint series that publish papers before their official publication in journals are a valuable means of disseminating new findings to researchers in a timely fashion.
The Department's preprint series was founded in 1987 to help faculty members, students, and other scholars to report their findings without any delay. More than 900 papers have since appeared in its pages (as of 2009) and the series now enjoys wide international recognition, with copies sent to approximately 70 leading mathematical research institutions in and outside Japan.
We now accept papers from Support Researchers at other institutions as well. We also expect to digitize our data soon.
We invite you to submit your research papers for publication in our Preprint Series. Please follow the contributor's guidelines below when sending your paper.
